Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to implement an effective integrated strategy through inter-departmental coordination to combat the Covid-19 and other communicable diseases. He said the nodal officers deployed in all the districts should review it daily. Presiding over a high-level Unlock review meeting at his official residence here on Tuesday, he said that the senior officers deployed in the districts are being directed to monitor from the headquarters, the special cleanliness and sanitisation drive in their allocated districts.
He asserted that during the drive, prevention of Covid-19 and other communicable diseases, medical screening, supply of potable water and the works related to cleanliness and sanitisation should be undertaken expeditiously. He also asked to do spray and fogging compulsorily during cleanliness and sanitisation drive. 2 Expressing satisfaction over achieving the capacity of Covid sample testing of over 48,000 per day, the CM said that it should be ramped up to 50,000 per day. Out of this 30-35000 testings should be done by RTPCR method, 2-2500 by TruNAT machines and 20-25000 by Rapid Antigen technique. He laid stress on tele-consultation by the doctors. He also put emphasis on using public address system along with electronic and print media to educate people about the prevention from Covid-19. He said that there is a need of taking special caution in the districts of Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi and Jhansi in view of the Covid19. The effective measures are required in these districts to counter the COvid-19.
The CM said all precautions must be taken to insulate the police force from the infection. The police personnel on enforcement duty should be provided masks, gloves and sanitiser. He said that the services of NCC cadets can also be considered along with Home-guards and PRD jawans in the containment zones. The Chief Minister said that the cleanliness is extremely important to control an infectious disease like Covid-19. Keeping it in view, the L-1 hospitals should be set up at the places where the basic facilities for cleanliness are available. He directed to keep all the arrangements in L-1 hospitals in order for the better facilities to the patients.
