Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji on Wednesday said that it has been a matter of satisfaction that the new ration card holders have started getting ration immediately. Earlier, the wait period was about two months for new card holders to get the ration. The CM reiterated his government’s resolve that nobody should be left hungry in the state. Presiding over the high-level Unlockdown review meeting here in Lok Bhawan, he asked to ensure smooth distribution of food-grain and no complaints about weight and measure. He directed to prepare and implement an action plan in this regard in a week’s time.
He also directed to make new ration cards and make available the ration to new card holders. 2 Asking to intensify police patrolling on highways, expressways and parks, the Chief Minister said regular police patrolling is necessary to ensure successful implementation of lockdown, social distancing and avoidance of crowd gathering. He said the door step delivery should run efficiently in the containment zones. The Chief Minister instructed to maintain high level of cleanlines and security in quarantine centres and community kitchens. The community kitchens should provide quality food to all the hungry ones. He said the special secretary level officers nominated in the districts to assist the DMs, are required to inspect quarantine centres and community kitchens regularly and send their report to the government.
He directed that the Additional Director and Joint Director level of health officers appointed in the districts as nodal officers should inspect Covid and Non-Covid hospitals compulsorily. These health officers should also monitor and report about the emergency and surgical services in the hospital and ensure the aggrieved persons receives emergency service. The Chief Minister called upon the alertness at every level to combat the menace of Covid. He said the proper coordination among the stakeholders will always be helpful in containing the infection. He asked to pay special attention to clinical facilities in the medical colleges of Agra, Meerut, Kanpur, Aligarh, Moradabad and Firozabad. While observing the medical screening and strengthening of the surveillance committees are helping in containing the infection to a great deal, he asked to keep these committees activated and screening more intensified. He said all the railway stations in the state should have proper arrangement of thermal screening. He also directed to compulsorily distribute hand bills at railway stations to create awareness about the prevention from Corona.
All the hospitals should have adequate stock of PPE kits, N-95 masks, three layer masks, gloves, sanitiser etc as medical prevention gears, the Chief Minister pointed out. He said the availability of oxygen and arrangement for bio-waste 3 disposal with special care on sanitation should be ensured in the hospitals. He said that doctors and nurses should take round of the hospital regularly. He took cognisance of the availability of TruNAT machines for prompt result of testing, he said these machines should be sent to all 75 districts immediately and ensure they are commissioned in a week. He asked to raise the testings from 10,000 per day to 15,000 per day while every district should have covid testing lab. He asked to equip the hospitals with ventilators and directed to prevent police and medical staff from the infection. The Chief Minister asked the Industrial Investment Development Commissioner (IIDC) to keep in touch with the potential investors to augment investment in the state. He also asked to run the wheat purchase centres well and make all efforts to ensure benefit to the farmers of Minimum Support Price (MSP).
