Ranbir Kapoor offers prayers to the late legend Rishi Kapoor on his ‘Terahvi’; sister Riddhima posts picture with a caption, ‘Your legacy will live on forever’
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 after battling leukaemia for two years. His demise left a permanent void in the film industry.
And today, on his ‘Terahvi’, 13th day following his demise, the family held a puja at their home. Wife Neetu Kapoor, daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, son Ranbir Kapoor along with his ladylove Alia Bhatt offered their prayers to the late legend.
Riddhima took to Instagram and shared a few pictures from the rituals. In one of the images, Ranbir can be seen performing puja along with his sister. She captioned the post, “Your legacy will live on forever…We love you”.
For the unversed, due to lockdown, Riddhima arrived in Mumbai from Delhi to be with her mom and brother Ranbir two days after the actor passed away.
Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He underwent treatment in New York and returned to Mumbai after battling with cancer for almost a year. After his return, he resumed his work and started shooting for a film titled ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ with Juhi Chawla in Delhi. However, due to health issues, the shooting was cancelled and he was back at his home in Mumbai. However, the cancer is reportedly said to have relapsed and the actor breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital.
The news of his death came a day after the shocking demise of Bollywood’s talented actor Irrfan Khan.
