Health and Medical Education departments to make special action plan for Ghaziabad and Gautambudh Nagar districts: CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Health and Medical Education departments to make special action plan for Ghaziabad and Gautambudh Nagar districts. More efforts are required to contain Covid-19 and improve health services in these two districts, he said while presiding over a highlevel Unlock review meeting here at his official residence on Saturday.

He said that a team of health official should be sent to Ghaziabad district to camp there. This team should make efforts to improve the health services in the Covid hospitals and provide best services to the Corona patients. He also directed to send similar team to Bulandshahr district. The CM said the clear guidelines should be issued for government as well as private hospitals to keep TruNAT machines functional. He said that the Covid testings 2 should be ramped up to more than 25,000 through RTPCR testing method.

The CM said that the testings should be substantially increased by the use of RTPCR method, TruNAT machines and Rapid Antigen test. He directed to maintain proper arrangements in the medical colleges and ensure that senior doctors take regular rounds. He asked to nominate a separate officer for monitoring of health services in the medical colleges. He also asked the special secretary rank officers, sent to districts as nodal officers, to monitor arrangements in the Covid hospitals. The Chief Minister further directed that the relatives of the patients admitted in the Covid hospitals should be informed of the condition of the latter on a regular basis. For this, the ward in-charge should make arrangement to inform on telephone.

He instructed to set up Covid Help Desk in every hospital of the Health department. The CM directed to make quarantine and screening facilities for the travellers coming by international flights. Similarly, screening facilities should be set up at railway and bus stations also. He asked to exercise all caution to control the spread of infection. He also directed to pay proper attention to the training of medical personnel for protection from medical infection. Also, the efforts to insulate PAC battalions from the infection should be continued. The CM asked to ensure social distancing norms along with better sanitation in public places.

He said that door step delivery mechanism should be ensured in the containment zones for supply of essentials. He said that special communicable disease control campaign has been launched. All concerned departments should coordinate to make it success. The Chief Minister asked to give extra attention to Food Grain distribution under normal distribution and PM Poor Welfare Food grain Scheme and said that while maintaining transparency in distribution, availability of food grain to the needy must be ensured. He asked to keep an eye over the movement of locusts and ensure arrangements for control. He also emphasised to make effective steps to augment GST collection.
